Rafting superheros
The annual Antibes raft race took place at the international quay in Antibes on Saturday. I had a CV profile shoot booked nearby so I decided to pop along and take some photos while I was waiting for my client to arrive.
The Raft Race Association was created in 1981 to emulate the Oxford/ Cambridge Boat Race but without any of the rules! The first chaotic, bonkers and incredibly memorable event took place in Port Vauban, Antibes that same year. The raft race has been held on and off for the past 36 years, raising money for a selection of fantastic charities as well as the brilliant local Lifeboat service.
I didn't stay until the end so unfortunately I don't know which team was victorious but I will update this article when I do.
Well done to all the crazy people who took part in the event and who by doing so raised lots of money for a good cause!
